Searching for nonminimally coupled scalar hairs.
In this work we study the asymptotically flat, static, and spherically symmetric black-hole solutions of the theory described by the action
متن کاملEnergy density of nonminimally coupled scalar field cosmologies.
Scalar elds coupled to gravity via R 2 in arbitrary Friedmann-RobertsonWalker backgrounds can be represented by an e ective at space eld theory. We derive an expression for the scalar energy density where the e ective scalar mass becomes an explicit function of and the scale factor. The scalar quartic self-coupling gets shifted and can vanish for a particular choice of . Gravitationally induced...
متن کاملQuintessence with Coupled Scalar Fields
We discuss the dynamics of a quintessence model involving two coupled scalar fields. The model presents two types of solutions, namely solutions that correspond to eternal and transient acceleration of the universe. In both cases, we obtain values for the cosmological parameters that satisfy current observational bounds as well as the nucleosynthesis constraint on the quintessence energy density.
متن کاملConserved charges in gravitational theories: contribution from scalar fields
In order to illustrate a recently derived covariant formalism for computing asymptotic symmetries and asymptotically conserved superpotentials in gauge theories, the case of gravity with minimally coupled scalar fields is considered and the matter contribution to the asymptotically conserved superpotentials is computed. ∗Research Associate of the Belgium National Fund for Scientific Research.
متن کاملDynamical study of the singularities of gravity in the presence of non-minimally coupled scalar fields
We investigate the dynamics of Einstein equations in the vicinity of the two recently described types of singularity of anisotropic and homogeneous cosmological models described by the action
